You Don’t Have to Carry It All—Let It Move Through You
There are things we carry because, at one time, carrying them helped us survive.
- A belief that kept us from taking another risk.
- A habit that gave us some sense of control.
- A wall we built around our heart because being vulnerable once hurt too much.
- A role we learned to play because keeping everyone else happy felt safer than disappointing someone.
- A story about who we are—or who we are not—that became so familiar we stopped questioning whether it was still true.
And this is the complicated thing about healing: Not everything we are ready to release began as something “bad.”
Sometimes an old pattern was once protective.
It may have helped you navigate a difficult relationship, survive a painful season, hold your family together, cope with uncertainty, or simply get through a time when you didn’t yet have the tools or support you have now.
So when we talk about releasing what no longer serves us, I don’t believe we need to judge those old patterns.
✨ We can honor them.
🙏🏼 We can thank them.
🤔 And then we can decide whether we still need them.
Because what protected you in one chapter of your life can become the very thing that restricts you in the next.
This Week’s Oracle Card: Emotional Release
This week’s card is:
EMOTIONAL RELEASE
“I allow my emotions to move through me with grace and compassion.”

I love the wording of this card because it doesn’t tell us to conquer our emotions. It doesn’t tell us to ignore them. It doesn’t even tell us to “get over” them.
It says:
Allow them to move.
There is an enormous difference between experiencing an emotion and building a home inside of it.
- We can feel sadness without believing we will always be sad.
- We can experience anger without allowing anger to determine our next decision.
- We can acknowledge disappointment without turning it into a story about our worth.
- We can grieve what didn’t happen, what changed, who left, who we used to be—or even the version of life we thought we were going to have—and still create something beautiful from where we are now.
Emotions are meant to have movement.
Sometimes the most healing thing we can do is stop demanding that they disappear and instead give them somewhere safe to go.
Why an Old Pattern Can Feel Safer Than Change
We often think that if we truly wanted something different, we would simply do something different.
But human beings are much more complicated than that.
Familiarity can feel like safety—even when the familiar thing is no longer making us happy.
This is why you may intellectually know that a relationship, belief, habit, or pattern needs to change and still find yourself returning to it.
→ You know the terrain.
→ You know how to function there.
Change requires us to step into a space we haven’t fully mapped yet.
And that can feel vulnerable.
- You may know you want to speak up more, but staying quiet once protected you from conflict.
- You may know you want to receive more help, but self-reliance became part of your identity.
- You may know you want more abundance, joy, love, creativity, or visibility, while another part of you remembers a time when being seen, taking a chance, or expecting too much resulted in disappointment.
This is why healing cannot always be reduced to:
“Just let it go.”
Sometimes the more compassionate question is:
“What was this protecting me from?”
And then:
“Do I still need that protection now?”
That small shift takes us out of judgment and into curiosity.
And curiosity creates room for movement.
Flow Is Not About Forcing Something Out of You
When I think about Flow energetically, I think about allowing movement where something has become stagnant.
Not rushing.
Not forcing.
Not pretending something doesn’t hurt.
Flow is the willingness to notice what is present and give it permission to move at the pace that feels right for you.
Imagine a river.
When the water is moving, it can travel around stones, branches, and other obstacles.
It doesn’t need the path to be perfectly clear before it continues.
It simply keeps finding its way forward.
Our emotional energy can work this way, too.
The goal isn’t to create a life in which nothing difficult ever happens.
The goal is to become more able to experience what arises without automatically turning it into something we must carry forever.
You feel it.
You listen to it.
You learn what it may be showing you.
And eventually, when you are ready, you allow it to move.
A Gentle Emotional Release Practice
1. Try this when you notice an emotion, memory, or old story taking up more space than you want it to.
2. Find somewhere you can be undisturbed for a few minutes.
3. Take a slow breath in through your nose for a count of 3. Hold it for a count of 3. Then breathe out slowly through your mouth. (this is ocean breathing)
4. Do this three times.
5. Now name what you are feeling without trying to change it.
You might simply say:
“I notice sadness.”
“I notice anger.”
“I notice fear or anxiety.”
“I notice disappointment.”
“I notice that I am holding onto something.”
Notice the difference between saying “I am angry” and “I notice anger.”
One turns the emotion into an identity.
The other allows you to observe it.
6. Next, ask: “What are you trying to tell me?”
Don’t force an answer.
Simply listen.
7. Then ask: “Do I still need to carry this in the same way?”
As you breathe out, imagine the emotion beginning to loosen.
You might visualize it as smoke leaving your body, water flowing through you, or simply energy softening and moving.
There is no requirement that everything disappear.
This is not about performing release correctly.
It is simply an opportunity to create a little more space.
8. Finish by placing both hands over your heart and saying:
“I allow my emotions to move through me with grace and compassion.”
Then take one final breath.
That is enough.

When Self-Guided Work May Be Exactly What You Need
Not every emotional shift requires a session or someone else to guide you through it.
Sometimes awareness is enough to begin.
Journaling may help.
A walk may help.
Meditation may help.
Talking with someone you trust may help.
Your own spiritual practice may help you recognize that something is ready to change.
Want to create your own practice? You can find all the resources you need in The Five Method, which houses the FLOW GATEWAY.
If an old pattern feels manageable, you can identify what is happening, and you feel capable of exploring it safely on your own, give yourself permission to work gently with it.
Healing does not always have to be dramatic.
Sometimes it happens in dozens of quiet moments when you notice yourself responding differently than you used to.
You pause instead of react.
You say no instead of automatically saying yes.
You speak kindly to yourself instead of criticizing yourself.
You let yourself feel something instead of immediately distracting yourself from it.
You choose something new.
Those moments matter.
When You May Want More Focused Support
And sometimes we know what the issue is—but we feel like we keep circling around it.
The same emotional pattern returns.
The same situation continues to trigger us.
We understand something intellectually, but energetically it still feels stuck.
That may be a time when receiving focused support feels helpful.
The One is my single, targeted remote energy healing session designed for exactly this kind of experience.
Rather than working broadly across everything happening in your life, we focus the session around one specific issue, pattern, situation, or intention you would like energetic support with.
It might be an emotional pattern you are ready to release.
A relationship or situation you are trying to move through.
A repeating block.
A transition.
Or simply something that feels as though it is taking up more energetic space than you want to continue giving it.
You don’t have to arrive with the perfect explanation.
You simply begin with the thing that feels most present.
And we work from there.
Your Invitation for the Week
This week, I don’t want you to ask yourself:
“What is wrong with me that I still feel this?”
Instead ask:
“What have I been carrying—and am I ready to carry it differently?”
You don’t need to rush the answer.
You don’t need to force yourself to release something before you are ready.
And you certainly don’t need to criticize yourself for the ways you learned to survive earlier chapters of your life.
Offer that version of yourself some compassion.
Then give the woman you are becoming permission to choose again.
Because Flow isn’t about pretending the past never happened.
It is about allowing life—and your energy—to begin moving forward again.
I allow my emotions to move through me with grace and compassion.
And maybe, for this week, that is enough.
